Dr Tony Gianduzzo
Dr Tony Gianduzzo was born in Bundaberg and obtained his medical degree at the University of Queensland in 1983. He is a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons and a member of the Urological Society of Australia and New Zealand.
He completed his Urological training in Brisbane, and has been resident on the Sunshine Coast since 1993. He has been heavily involved in the development of high quality local facilities for the Sunshine Coast for some 20 years, and has acted in board and other key leadership roles in the development of the Buderim Private Hospital. He was Chairman of the Medical Advisory Committee for some 15 years, and continues on as a founding member of the Quality and Safety Committee. Dr. Gianduzzo’s particular interests are in the diagnosis and management of Prostate Cancer, Laser prostate surgery, and treating urinary stones.
He is heavily involved in developing and validating high quality multi-parametric prostatic MRI services on the Sunshine Coast, and robotic assisted transperineal prostatic biopsy. Ureteroscopic laser lithotripsy or extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy is available to provide minimally invasive management of urinary stones. He operates at the Buderim Private Hospital. He consults at Buderim, Caloundra and Kawana.
